Amplifying Voices Of Girls For A Common Change

Updated: Oct 12, 2020

This summer we worked on a film for empowerment and some of our friends are now working with the UN on this platform.

We know that you probably think that this all is far-fetched or maybe unreatable to the US, or even closer, our state of Kentucky...

But please know that this was in the news in 2018:

Teens under 18 in Kentucky can marry at age 16 or 17 with a parent's permission. ... Teens under 16 can marry with a judge's permission in case of a pregnancy (Senate Judiciary Committee on Feb.Feb 22, 2018). - and often that sadly lead to a marriage to their perpetrator, someone much older than themselves who is an abuser!

So please, let us join hands with the United Nations to celebrate and commemorate the International day of the girl child today.

Please take a look on a couple of platforms that have featured our friends and fellow Heirs' article on amplifying voices of girls for a common change. Let's all work together to make the world a safer place for girls everywhere!

Please watch our friend Harriet's work in Uganda!
